Short answers, with a link to the full explanation. If you are trying to fix something rather than understand it, start with WhatsApp, Instagram, Automations and agents or Integrations.

Plans, trial and billing

No. There are three plans — Starter, Growth and Enterprise — and every workspace runs on one of them. What a new workspace gets instead is a free trial.Plans and billing
Choosing a plan in the welcome wizard starts a 15-day trial with no card asked for. It is one trial per workspace, ever — clicking between Starter, Growth and Enterprise carries the same clock forward rather than granting a fresh 15 days.Plans and billing
The owner, and nobody else — Settings → Plan & billing is owner-only, stricter than admin-only. A teammate who reaches that screen is shown who to ask, by name and email.Plans and billing
The subscription moves to past due and the workspace keeps working while Razorpay retries — that is dunning, not a lockout. If it is still unpaid after the dunning period, sending and creating pause and you are sent to a billing screen; nothing is deleted.Plans and billing
Settings → Plan & billing → Automatic renewal → Cancel renewal, owner only. Cancelling stops the renewal rather than the plan: you keep everything you have paid for until the end of the current cycle, and the dialog names that date before you press the button.Plans and billing
No. Meta bills you for conversations directly, through the payment method on your own WhatsApp Business Account — Watx never sits between you and that bill. Your Watx plan is a separate thing, with its own monthly message and broadcast allowances.WhatsApp · Plans and billing

Workspaces and people

Yes, with a different role in each — that is how an agency administers a dozen clients without a dozen passwords. The switcher is the first row of the sidebar, and switching reloads the page deliberately so no workspace’s live subscriptions leak into another’s.Workspaces
Not today. There are two ways into a workspace: an invite link from its owner or an admin, or Watx support attaching your existing login to a workspace that already exists.Workspaces
Four, ranked: Owner (everything, plus billing and ownership), Admin (members, settings, integrations, agents), Agent (works the product — inbox, contacts, deals, broadcasts, automations, flows) and Viewer (read-only). The role named Agent is a person; an AI agent is software.Members and roles

Channels and messaging

Three: WhatsApp (through the official Meta Cloud API), Instagram (DMs, story replies and comments) and a website chat widget. All three feed the same inbox, the same contacts and the same automations.Core concepts
Yes, two ways. You can migrate it — which keeps the number and can import up to six months of chat history — or connect it in coexistence mode, where the number stays on the WhatsApp Business app as well.Connect your number
No. A phone number can be connected to one Watx workspace at a time, and a second attempt is refused with a message saying so.Connect your number
Meta allows free-form replies for 24 hours after each message a customer sends you. Outside that window only a pre-approved template will send, which is why broadcasts, order updates, reminders and invoices are all template sends. The 24-hour window · Message templates
No. Instagram has no approved-template mechanism, so there is no compliant way to send bulk DMs; a website visitor is only reachable while their tab is open, so there is no audience to send to. Broadcasts are WhatsApp only.Instagram · Website chat

Automations, flows and AI

An automation is a trigger plus a fixed sequence of steps, on every channel and on events with no channel at all. A flow is a back-and-forth conversation with buttons and questions, WhatsApp only; an AI agent writes an open-ended reply from your knowledge and skills.Automations · Flows · AI agents
A flow (lowercase) is the Watx chatbot builder — a graph of nodes that sends ordinary WhatsApp messages. A WhatsApp Flow is Meta’s own product: form screens that open inside WhatsApp, which Watx can create, validate, preview and publish but cannot yet send to a customer.Flows · WhatsApp Flows
No. Built-in AI is the default and every new workspace starts with 250 free credits, metered from real token usage. You can instead save your own OpenAI, Anthropic or Google key, in which case your provider bills you and Watx meters nothing.Credits and your own key
It is a plan limit: Starter 1, Growth 5, Enterprise unlimited. A paused agent still occupies a slot — a cap you can dodge by pausing is not a cap.AI agents
No. It never claims to be a human being, it is told to answer from your business description and your documents rather than guess a price or a delivery date, and it hands the conversation to your team when it should.Persona, voice and behaviour · Why is my agent silent?

Integrations, data and the API

No. Watx is a CRM first and every integration is optional — the inbox, contacts, automations, flows and agents all work with nothing connected. Invoices and receipts need only your company details, not Razorpay and not a store.Integrations · Sales documents
No. Everything belongs to exactly one workspace and no workspace can read another’s, even when the same login belongs to both — what you see is always the workspace you have open.Security and privacy
Every token, key and secret Watx holds for you is encrypted at rest, decrypted only at the moment it is used, and never returned in an API response or written to a log. Two things are shown once and never again, because only a hash is kept: API keys and invite links.Security and privacy
Their conversation and contact record live in your workspace and are yours to delete — a member with the Agent role or above can delete the contact. A request made to Meta about an Instagram connection deletes the connection and its token, but not the conversations already saved in your workspace.Security and privacy · Contacts
Yes — a REST API at https://api.watx.in/v1 for contacts, conversations, messages, broadcasts and segments. Issue a key under Settings → API keys, grant it only the scopes it needs, and send it as a bearer token; to be told when something happens rather than polling for it, register a signed webhook endpoint.API introduction · Authentication
Form submissions, deals and each analytics page export as CSV from the dashboard. For contacts and conversations, page through the API — there is no contacts export button today.Submissions · Requests and responses

What Watx does not do

Worth knowing before you plan around it:
  • No voice or calling. Voice notes are supported in the inbox on every channel; calls are not.
  • No free plan. Cancelling ends access at the end of the cycle — there is no free tier to fall back to. See Plans and billing.
  • No broadcasts on Instagram or the website. WhatsApp only. See Broadcasts.
  • No flows off WhatsApp. Use automations for anything cross-channel.
  • Campaign schedules do not run by themselves. A schedule records a plan; send from Broadcasts.
  • Click-to-WhatsApp clicks are not reported by Meta. The conversation still arrives normally; the counters only move through the API. See Click-to-WhatsApp.
  • A WhatsApp Flow cannot be sent from Watx. Create, validate, preview and publish, yes — send, not yet. See WhatsApp Flows.
  • Publishing to Instagram is not supported. Everything else about a post can be done from Posts.
  • Refunds are not issued from Watx. Do those in your Razorpay dashboard. See Razorpay payments.
  • An issued sales document cannot be edited. Cancel it and issue a fresh one. See Sales documents.

Write to support@watx.in. If it is a setup question, say which channel or integration and what the screen says — the status banners on each console name the cause in Meta’s, Shopify’s or Razorpay’s own words, and quoting them is the quickest route to an answer.
