Watx is at app.watx.in. New accounts are created with Google. Accounts that already have a password can still sign in with it.

Create an account

Open app.watx.in/signup and press Sign up with Google, then choose your Google account. That is the whole step: Google has already verified the address, so Watx sends no confirmation email and you create no password. A new account goes straight to the welcome wizard, where you name the workspace and choose a plan. See Quickstart.
No Google account? Google accepts any existing email address, including a work address, as a Google account. The sign-up screen links to Google’s own page for creating one. If that does not suit you, write to support@watx.in.
Every sign-in and sign-up screen carries a notice that continuing means you accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, with links to both.

On Welcome back, press Continue with Google. If your account has a password, press Sign in with email and password underneath. The email and password fields open in place; enter them and press Sign in. Hide password sign-in folds them away again.
An account created with Google has no password. If you try the password form with it, Watx says the email and password do not match and points you back to Continue with Google.
After sign-in:
  • if you belong to one workspace, or none, you go straight into the app;
  • if you belong to several, Watx asks Choose a workspace first. See Workspaces.
Watx has no magic links and no emailed sign-in codes.

Forgotten password

This applies only to an account that has a password. An account created with Google has nothing to reset: use Continue with Google.
1

Ask for a link

On the sign-in screen press Sign in with email and password, then Forgot password?. Enter your email and press Send reset link.
2

Open the email

Click the link in the message. It signs you in and takes you to Choose a new password.
3

Set the new password

Enter a new password of at least 6 characters, confirm it and press Update password. You land in the dashboard already signed in.
A reset link works once, and only in the browser that opened it. Open it in a different browser, or after it has been used, and Watx says the link has expired and offers Request a new link. Request a new one rather than retrying the old one.
To change a password you still know, use Settings → Login & security instead; that form asks for your current password first. See Security and privacy.

Accepting an invitation

An invite arrives as a link of the form https://app.watx.in/join/<token>. Opening it verifies the invitation and shows the workspace you are invited to, the role attached and the date the link stops working.
  • Already signed in. Press Accept invitation. The membership is added and you land in that workspace.
  • Not signed in, no account yet. Press Create account & join. The sign-up screen becomes Join your team on Watx; press Sign up with Google, and you come back to the invitation to accept it.
  • Not signed in, already have an account. Press I already have an account. The sign-in screen becomes Sign in to accept your invite, and after sign-in you come back to the invitation to accept it.
Signing up with Google creates a personal workspace for every new login, because Google cannot tell Watx that you arrived from an invitation. When you accept the invitation, Watx removes that workspace again, provided it is clearly the empty one made moments earlier: you signed up less than an hour ago, the invitation already existed when you did, you never started its setup, it has no plan or trial, and nobody else is in it or has been invited to it. Otherwise it is left alone. If you never accept, you keep the workspace.
If the link does not work, the page says why: For the first three, ask the person who invited you to generate a new link; it takes them a few seconds. Accepting an invitation for a workspace you are already in is not an error: Watx says you are already a member and takes you to the dashboard.
