Channel Settings
Channels → Instagram → Channel Settings. Before you have connected, this is the connect screen — see Connect Instagram. Afterwards it carries four things. The account card
Profile picture,@handle, the account id, the date you connected, and how long the
current access lasts: Access renews automatically · 42 days left. Renewal is automatic
and happens well ahead of the deadline. An arrow opens the profile on Instagram.
If access has expired or been revoked, an Access expired banner replaces the countdown
with a Reconnect button.
Subscribed events
What Instagram will notify Watx about. A green dot means the event is subscribed.Messaging rules
A plain statement of the three Instagram limits that generate support questions, so nobody discovers them when a send fails:- The reply window. You can reply freely for 24 hours after each customer message; after that the thread closes until they write again. Workspaces on a deployment holding Meta’s Human Agent permission see 7-day reply window here instead, with the same card explaining it.
- No broadcasts. Instagram has no approved-template mechanism, so there is no compliant way to send bulk DMs. Instagram contacts are excluded from broadcast audiences automatically.
- No delivery receipts. Instagram reports when a message is read but never when it is delivered, so sent messages stay on one tick until the customer opens them.
Disconnect
Stops everything new — no DMs, no comments, and every comment automation halts — while keeping existing conversations and comments. Confirmed first, and reversible by reconnecting. The comment-automation master switch
The workspace-wide switch for comment funnels is not on this page. It lives at the top of Posts and of Comment funnels — the two places you are already on when you decide the automations should stop. Both are the same switch.Analytics
Channels → Instagram → Analytics → Overview covers DMs, comment moderation, comment-to-DM funnels and post performance. Choose Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days or a custom range; each headline figure is compared with the previous period of the same length. Refresh re-reads it and Export downloads the whole report as CSV.The headline figures
Several of the tiles are also filters — clicking one narrows the whole page to, say,
outgoing messages, and the active filter shows as a removable chip in the header.
The panels
- DM volume — daily incoming and outgoing messages.
- Who is answering — AI agent versus a teammate.
- Busiest hours — incoming DMs by day and hour, in your timezone.
- Most active people — by total messages exchanged.
- Comment activity — comments received, replied and privately replied, per day.
- Comment → DM funnel — matched, awaiting opt-in, awaiting follow, reward delivered, across every funnel.
- Comment funnels — one row per funnel. Clicking one filters the page by it.
- Top posts — clicking a post scopes the comment panels above to that post.
- Contacts and deals from Instagram — new contacts, deals created and deals won, with deals attributed through the conversation they came from.
